MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO CODE A PRODUCT

To code a product the following aspects will be taken into account:

a. In relation to its nutritional content:

1. All the products, without exception, must contain clear and concise information of their nutritional tables that permit knowledge of their contents, effects and exceptions for consumption, according to the relevant legal norms.

b.- Regarding its sale:

1. That its sale offers the minimum level of profitability determined by the supermarket and / or similar to the corresponding category;

2. That the product offers food qualities legally allowed for consumers;

3. That it belongs to the portfolio of products that the supermarket and / or parallels has among its assortment and types;

4. Proof of an adequate production structure and / or import that allows it to comply with the minimum levels of delivery or supply of the product.

c.- Regarding legal and technical requirements:

1. Comply with the hygienic and sanitary conditions established in the current legislation. This includes Health Permit for each elaborated product, which must be in force throughout the supply relationship;

2. All the exhibited products must contain in clear, concise and perfectly readable form, the final price, the expiration date and other indications relevant to the quality of the product;

3. Regarding trademarks, patents and other rights constituted in intellectual property, suppliers and supermarkets and / or similar must comply with applicable national and international legal regulations;

4. In any case, suppliers must respond for the consumer guarantee established in the law;

5. Comply with the following legal requirements regarding packaging of the products; and,

6. The harmful effects of the products due to improper conservation after the delivery is the responsibility of the supermarkets and / or similar.

d.- Regarding identification requirements:

1. Identification of the merchandise with a single bar code per EAN (European Article Number), more updated or its equivalent, both in the sales unit and the packaging unit.

If the product is approved and if it is a new supplier, the parties will sign a Merchandise Provision Contract.

As new products are incorporated into existing suppliers, an amendment agreement will be signed, that is, a new product Annex to the existing contract for the supply of merchandise.
